The Interview (pp. 37-40)
This chapter gives us a little more insight into some of the differences between David and his father. How do you think they see the world differently, at least in terms of David's role and purpose?
I think that David thinks he has everything under control having to do with a job but i don'think his dad agrees. I am starting to think that his father thinks that he has picked an unreasonal job for a kid going into 9th grade. I think that David thinks e has it under control because he thinks he can get the story in the paper and get a job. I also think that David's father should let David try the job he wants to do and then he should offer David a job at their family landscaping business.
I think that David doesn't really know what to do with himself and his father is trying to help him so he can have more, better things to do. David's father has different things to think of than David really does and... yeah.
I think that David's dad doesn't think that David really doesn't know what to do with his life, that he has no plan, so he's just trying to help him. I think that David really thinks he's going to make it big in the reporting world, that it's what he's gonna do with his life. Also, David's dad might think what he thinks because he wants to keep the family business running. He only thinks these things, because he cares about David, and wants him to have a good life with a good, well-paying job. I think that David should do what he wants.
I think Alex, that David disagrees with his father for thinking that he has noting better to do because e is writing this story which like i said his father should give David another chance to just see how this "job" that David has planned out for himself might do him some good.
I think that David's dad dosn't agree with him about trying out for the job at the newspaper because of the story about the weed killers. I think David sees it as a job opportunity to earn some money.
