A Safe Haven
Why do you think Ruben enjoyed and appreciated his time at Tom's so well?
Because it said, I think, that Ruben was thinking that this was one of the only times that Tom was acting nice. And I think that it was because everyone was talking to each other about things.
I think he enjoyed it because (unlike his Father) Tom anctually agknowledges Ruben's existance and doesn't treat him like a little kid who can't make dicisions for himself.

ReplyDeleteI think it is because Ruben enjoyed not being bossed around and having to do chores and go to school and I think he enjoyed being with Tom and Sadie.
